Phew! I don't know about anyone else, but I sure have been breathing a sigh of relief now that those fast paced days of preparing and presenting are finally over.
I want to compliment you all on a job well done! I truely think this was one of our best ever training events and it's because of all of our hard work and preparation that went in to it!
It's such an honor to be a part of this team, knowing how hard you all work and how much dedication you have, not just to children and families but to providing staff with the tools they need to make us an Outstanding Program!
Congratulations Jackie and Lorri

Nutrition Inservice
Jackie presented another awesome Nutrition training for the food service workers. She had a speaker from the Illinois NET Program come and speak on "Color My Meals Healthy." The presenter provided many handouts, facilitated several group activities and really held the attention of staff.
Way to go Jackie, you provided a training that staff really seemed to enjoy!
Health Services Advisory Council ~ Fall 2009
Despite Carol's absence and Linda's unwarrented anxiety, the HSAC Mtg was a success. Those who were able to attend seemed to really enjoy their chance to get away from all of the current challenges of their jobs.
Thanks everyone who helped the day be a successful one. The room next door worked out really well and the food as always was wonderful and presented so nicely.
Way to go team!

Welcome Michelle
Here she is our very own, brand new Disability/Mental Health Specialist!
The Spring Health Services Advisory Council Meeting went great! Despite Linda's absence, Carol kept the meeting rolling with lots of participation from the members. We had lots of different faces this time. While some of our "regulars" were unable to be in attendance, it but it was still an informative and interesting meeting. We missed Linda but Carol and Anna did a great job preparing, Jackie, lended a hand in the kitchen and everyone pitched in to get things done!
Jackie had her Spring Nutrition Meeting Thursday, March 12. I was unable to attend, but it sounds like Jackie accomplished a lot, and encouraged some great networking opportunities for the Food Service Workers, allowing them time to break in to groups, brainstorm and share ideas.
You made it Jackie! Jackie has gone through another CACFP review and we don't owe back a penny! Way to go Nutrition Team! Our friendly CACFP audit guy once again put Jackie through the wringer, but she just smiled her way through it without misshap!
I forgot back in November to say "Way to Go" to Jackie. She presented a wonderful inservice for the Nutrition staff and it was obvious that she has a great rapport with all the Food Service Workers. What a Leader!
Congratulations Sharon for becoming our newest Hearing and Vision Technician!
Health Services Advisory Council was a greatsuccess! Carol and Linda, you pulled it off again. Thanks to everyone who put together such a nice luncheon for so many valuable people. It's a lot of work, but what a nice way to "treat" those people who are doing so much for our program and families!
