Mini Management Meeting Wednesday 9:00 AM
Friday, April 10, 2009
Thank You!
Just wanted to express my appreciation to those who helped me out so much during Linda and Sharon's absences. I certainly couldn't have done it all without your help! You made the work load much easier.
Sharon and Linda,
welcome back!
you've definitely been missed!
And not just because of that pile of paperwork that seems to appear in your mailbox daily ;o)

Linda's Recovery

I spoke with Linda yesterday. Things are still going well for her. She's working on getting herself physically ready to return to work.
As of right now, her Doctor is looking at releasing her at her April 7 appointment.
I know I am definitely looking forward to her return, but want her to be 100% so Linda if you're reading this, Don't worry about the work, just worry about getting yourself physically ready, things will be fine until you return.

- Review letter w/all candidates at end of interview.
- Stress that along with references we must now verify employment with prior employer.
- Have them complete the background check paperwork and sign the letter.
- Inform applicant that this is a new process, so we are not sure of the turn around date.
- We will let them know results as soon as we can.
Conversion and Community Engagement - Come to our next Central Staff Meeting on February 4th prepared to discuss a plan for gathering data for Conversion.
This data might include:
- Classes to be considered for conversion
- Who we would want to consider involving (community / parents)
- What other options or alternatives are out there for children who might have attended a classroom that is targeted for conversion.
- All considerations of a targeted area (needs of the targeted area's population)
- Costs considerations and facility renovations that need to be considered
- Types of technical assistance we might need to access.
- Think about a resonable time table.
- Any other considerations that would enable us to provide continuity of care.

Phew! I don't know about anyone else, but I sure have been breathing a sigh of relief now that those fast paced days of preparing and presenting are finally over.
I want to compliment you all on a job well done! I truely think this was one of our best ever training events and it's because of all of our hard work and preparation that went in to it!
It's such an honor to be a part of this team, knowing how hard you all work and how much dedication you have, not just to children and families but to providing staff with the tools they need to make us an Outstanding Program!
